Who provides Gather

Gather is provided by Chen Siyu, based in mainland China. Contact gather-support@sylar.win about privacy or your data. Sylar Chen is the public display name used in product introductions.

Information used to provide the service

For account access, we use Google sign-in and process a Google account identifier and, when available and verified, the account email shown in your session. We do not receive your Google password.

Wedding information may include the organizers' names, event date and venue, guest names and groups, attendance replies, meal choices, seating, relationships, notes about special requirements, and an optional photo included in an uploaded backup. Organizers may enter this information, and guests may provide or update permitted details through invitation or registration links. Allergy or dietary notes may reveal sensitive information; provide only what is necessary and appropriate for the event.

We use this information to save the wedding, provide the permitted guest reply experience, help organizers arrange seating and meals, and produce requested exports. Organizers can see their wedding information and may share downloaded lists with their venue or caterer. Guests are shown only the information allowed by their invitation or registration access, not the entire guest list.

Sign-in, payments and service providers

We use essential cookies to maintain sign-in and protect requests. Guest access may use browser session storage to keep an invitation available in the current tab. These access mechanisms are not advertising cookies.

Cloudflare provides hosting and storage infrastructure. Google provides account authentication. Paddle processes purchases and has its own buyer terms and privacy information. Gather stores the purchase identifiers and status needed to associate a purchase with the correct account and wedding; complete card details and card security codes are handled in Paddle's checkout, not stored by Gather.

Providing the service can involve processing outside your country, including service-provider infrastructure and access by the operator in mainland China. We do not describe this as storage restricted to your home country. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.

Retention and requests

For weddings covered by the new trial and paid plans, the access and 90-day retrieval periods described in our terms apply. When that retrieval period ends, you can no longer view or export the wedding content. We then delete that content and related invitation access, including its historical content snapshots. Deletion is not immediate. Uploads already in progress when access ends may leave residual files after deletion; these may remain until later maintenance. Existing weddings are not silently placed under the new deletion schedule.

We retain limited account and wedding identifiers, access and closure records, and purchase or support records where needed to verify fulfilment, handle refunds or disputes, or meet applicable legal obligations.

You can export your wedding information while you have access. Contact support to request access, correction or deletion, or to ask about other rights available under applicable law. We may need to confirm your authority over the account or information before acting. If you are a guest, you may also contact the organizer who controls the wedding information and its downstream sharing. Requests involving sensitive information should not include more information than is needed to identify the request.
